Toyota Jbl Sound System Problems
Toyota jbl sound system problems. I own a 2018 Rav4 with the JBLGreenedge upgraded sound system. The User Manual states that if you have the JBL sound upgrade in the DSP menu you can turn Surround Sound onoff. When I got the car the JBL system sounded great.
No radio for 30 seconds on cold start. I turn the knob from -5 up to 5 and there is not a very big difference. FWIW the JBL BassPro SL2 fits under the drivers seat and adds some really nice low-end to the stock stereo.
It played louder and had more bass. Also weirdly I reset the tire pressure system and thats when the volume problems started. Having a hard time getting the same sound out of SiriusXM.
I had a pretty good sound system in my 94 but sold it with the car because I was looking forward to doing a new system in the 05. I have tried fading front to back. Its as if hardly any sound comes out.
Can hardly hear the subwoofer even when set to max bass and if I set the fade to full rear the four rear door and behind the seat subwoofer can hardly be heard. If so the User Manual wasnt QAd very thoroughly 6. The dealers service tech said he guessed thats because this JBL system doesnt have a sub-woofer.

What DID solve it was changing the amplifier. All audio was cutting in and out in a consistent rhythm.

So Im really excited about my first post on T4R forums. Can hardly hear the subwoofer even when set to max bass and if I set the fade to full rear the four rear door and behind the seat subwoofer can hardly be heard. For about 3 years now the JBL Toyota Stereo 56836 has worked intermittently. At times there is no sound at all. I had a 2014 4Runner with the same JBL and it was twice as powerful as the one in my current truck. Problems with JBL 10 speaker system. This unti sounds about the same if my old system was set to Bass 1 or even less.
Just traded in my 2016 Tacoma Limited with JBL sound system which sounded fantastic. The low frequency range is very small. On mine Ive used the basic-ass factory EQ sliders to get quite nice sound when using CarPlay. However the 2019 Tacoma with the Entune system makes me want to cry as there is such a big difference. No radio for 30 seconds on cold start. The lawsuit lists various makes of the Toyota 4Runner Highlander Prius Sequoia Sienna Avalon Camry Tacoma Tundra and Yaris as the affected models. This unti sounds about the same if my old system was set to Bass 1 or even less.
